ORDINANCE #378

PROVIDING FOR THE ADDITION OF

OAKLEY DRIVE (COUNTY HIGHWAY 3 EXTENDED) BETWEEN BELL STREET

AND LINCOLN COURT TO THE MUNICIPAL

STREET SYSTEM OF CERRO GORDO, ILLINOIS

 

            WHEREAS, it has been determined to be in the public interest to effect certain changes in jurisdictional authority and maintenance responsibility with respect to the Municipal Street System of the Village of Cerro Gordo and the Piatt County Highway System, and

 

            WHEREAS, in order to provide a coordinated, functionally consistent system of roads and streets Oakley Drive (County Highway 3) between Township Road 28 and Bell Street and Oakley Drive (County Highway 3 Extended) between Bell Street and Lincoln Court can better serve as Municipal Streets, and

 

            WHEREAS, the Village of Cerro Gordo did by prior agreement with the State of Illinois assume jurisdiction of the remainder of the route identified as C.H.S. Route 3,

 

            NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Cerro Gordo that:

 

            Beginning at a point at the intersection of Oakley Drive (County Highway 3) and Township Road 28 near the Southwest corner of Section 27, Township 17 North, Range 4 East of the 3^rd Principal Meridian and extending in an Easterly direction along Oakley Drive to an intersection with Bell Street near the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 27, Township 17 North, Range 4 East of the 3^rd Principal Meridian a distance of 1334 feet (0.25 miles), to be deleted from the road system of Piatt County and added to the Municipal Street System of the Village of Cerro Gordo, and further

 

            Beginning at said point of intersection of Oakley Drive and Bell Street as described and continuing in an Easterly direction along Oakley Drive (County Highway 3 Extended) to an intersection with Lincoln Court near the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 27, Township 17 North, Range 4 East of the Third Principal Meridian, a distance of 950 feet (0.18 miles) to be deleted from the Road System of Piatt County and added to the Municipal Street System of the Village of Cerro Gordo.

 

            The Village Clerk is hereby directed to forward three (3) certified copies of this Ordinance to the State of Illinois through its District Engineer’s office at Paris, Illinois.
