POLICY LEVY ORDINANCE NO. 398

 

            BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the VILLAGE OF CERRO GORDO THAT:

 

            1.  The corporate authorities order that the proposition, of whether the levy for police protection for the Village of Cerro Gordo shall be increased from the present rate of .15% to a rate of .40%, be submitted to the voters of the Village of Cerro Gordo; and

 

            2.  The municipal Clerk shall certify the question to the proper election authority, who shall submit the proposition at an election in accordance with the general election law; and

 

            3.  The proposition shall be substantially in the following form:

 

 

            SHALL THE VILLAGE OF CERRO GORDO                       YES

            ADOPT A LEVY OF .40% FOR POLICE

            PROTECTION IN THE VILLAGE OF

            CERRO GORDO, PURSUANT TO ILLINOIS

            REVISED STATUTES,  CHAPTER 24,                                  NO     

            PARAGRAPH 11-1-5.1?

 

 

            THIS ORDINANCE was presented, passed and approved this 18^th day of December, 1989, all Trustees voting aye, said Trustees being:  Ronald Heitz, Noel Buckley, Harold Good, Galen Heckman, Sonna Nichols and Ronald Price.
